A commitment to customer service in selling and renting properties is the cornerstone of the David Short Real Estate business philosophy and therefore consolidates its position as a professional real estate specialist on the Southern Mornington Peninsula, more particularly in Dromana, McCrae, Rosebud and Rye.

Established by John G. Short in 1968, David joined the business in 1975 following a successful 13 year career in the Stock and Station Agency business with Dalgetys. His auctioneering skills were honed selling sheep and cattle at Swan Hill and Ouyen and involved in frequent visits to Sea Lake, Wycheproof, Balranald and Manangatang in order to conduct sheep sales and clearing sales.

By 1978 J.G. Short & Co. had expanded to the extent that it was maintaining offices in Dromana, Rosebud, Rye and Blairgowrie. David bought out the Rosebud business in 1988 and later changed the business name to "David Short Real Estate" embracing the well known "Short" family logo.

David's three children Jon, Sarah and Matthew who all work along with Jackie, Dave, Wayne, Vicki & Wendy, play an important roll in this respected third generation family business.

David Short attributes the company's success to friendly, helpful, courteous attention at all times and a determination to secure an outcome that leaves both Vendor and Purchaser happy. "Rewards follow naturally", he says.
